Just when I thought I was beginning to make progress towards my financial freedom goals, life has decided to throw another obstacle in my path.
I’m writing this blog post on Monday, 26 October 2026, feeling frustrated, disappointed and uncertain about what has happened to my Facebook account.
Last night, my Facebook account suddenly became inaccessible. I cannot log in, reset my password or access the Facebook Pages I have been building as part of my online income strategy.
Even more worrying, my Facebook profile appears to have completely disappeared. I asked a friend to check whether my profile was still visible, and they confirmed that it was unavailable.
I have already started the account recovery process by submitting a selfie to Facebook. However, I am still waiting for a response.
All this is happening while I am continuing to recover from lower back pain, which has not completely disappeared.
I began my journey from Security Guard to Financial Freedom on 21 April 2026. Since then, I have been working towards building multiple online income streams, developing a stronger mindset and eventually gaining greater control over my time.
Today is another reminder that the journey towards financial freedom is not always straightforward.
Rather than disappearing from my blog until everything is resolved, I thought I would document what has happened, explain what I am doing about it and share the lessons I am learning.
My Facebook account may have disappeared, but my determination to achieve financial freedom has not.
My Facebook Account Suddenly Disappeared Overnight

What Happened To My Facebook Account?
Everything seemed normal until Sunday night, 25 October 2026, when I discovered that I could no longer access my Facebook account.
Initially, I thought it might be a temporary login problem. After all, websites and applications occasionally experience technical difficulties.
However, the situation became more concerning when I attempted to reset my password.
Instead of allowing me to recover my account through the usual methods, Facebook began requesting a six-digit authentication code.
The message instructed me to obtain the code from my authentication application.
There was one major problem.
I do not have a Facebook account listed in my Google Authenticator application.
I have Google Authenticator set up for some other applications, but Facebook is not among the accounts I can currently see.
Consequently, I have no six-digit Facebook authentication code available to enter.
Without that code, I cannot complete the login process.
I have tried recovering my account, but so far, I have been unable to regain access.
Why Is Facebook Asking For An Authentication Code?
After researching the problem, I discovered that Facebook uses two-factor authentication, commonly known as 2FA, to provide additional account security.
Two-factor authentication normally requires a user to provide two forms of verification.
The first is usually a password. The second might be a temporary code generated by an authenticator app, a text message or another approved authentication method.
This provides extra protection because someone who discovers your password cannot necessarily access your account without completing the second verification step.
According to Meta’s account security guidance, two-factor authentication is an important protection against unauthorised access.
However, it can become a serious problem when an account requests an authentication method that the owner cannot access.
Google also explains that authenticator codes can be associated with different Google Accounts or stored locally on particular devices.
Its Google Authenticator support guide describes how synchronisation and device transfers work.
This means that not seeing Facebook in my current authenticator app does not necessarily establish what happened to the original authentication setup.
At the moment, I do not know why Facebook is requesting this code or whether my account’s security settings have changed.
Has My Facebook Account Been Hacked, Disabled Or Deleted?
What concerns me most is that my profile seems to have disappeared completely.
I asked a friend to search for my Facebook profile to establish whether this was simply a login problem.
Unfortunately, my friend could not access the profile either.
This naturally raises several questions.
Has someone managed to compromise my account?
Has Facebook temporarily disabled or restricted it?
Could this be an account security problem or a technical error?
Or has something else happened?
The truth is that I currently do not have enough information to answer these questions.
An inaccessible profile does not automatically mean an account has been permanently deleted or hacked.
Until Facebook provides further information, I do not want to jump to conclusions.
However, the experience has made me realise how vulnerable we can become when important parts of our personal and business activities depend on accounts controlled by other companies.
Waiting For Facebook To Verify My Identity
I have already followed Facebook’s account recovery instructions, including uploading a selfie to help verify my identity.
The recovery process informed me that it could take up to 48 hours for Facebook to respond.
As I write this article, I have not received a response.
Meta has introduced video-selfie verification as an optional recovery method to help people establish their identity when they cannot access their accounts.
Its account recovery improvements include recognising familiar devices, offering alternative verification methods and adapting recovery instructions to different situations.
These improvements give me some hope that I will be able to regain access.
However, the 48-hour estimate displayed during my recovery attempt is not a guarantee that my account will be restored within that period.
For now, all I can do is follow the legitimate recovery procedures, remain patient and avoid making the situation worse.
How I Am Trying To Recover My Facebook Account And Protect My Pages

Understanding The Official Facebook Recovery Options
My immediate priority is to regain access to my original Facebook account.
According to Facebook’s official guidance, people who are concerned that their accounts have been compromised can visit:
Facebook recommends using a device that has previously been used to access the account.
Another official recovery address is:
These recovery tools may help users locate their accounts and follow the verification steps available to them.
Facebook also provides guidance for situations involving inaccessible two-factor authentication codes.
Depending on the login screen, there may be options such as alternative authentication methods, recovery codes or additional identity verification.
I intend to continue using official Facebook recovery channels rather than trusting people who claim they can recover accounts for a fee.
I also need to check my associated email accounts for any legitimate security notifications or messages about changes to my account.
The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre recommends checking for suspicious account activity, protecting email accounts and changing reused passwords when an account may have been compromised.
These are sensible precautions, even while the cause of my Facebook problem remains unknown.
What Will Happen To My Scheduled Facebook Page Posts?
One of my biggest concerns is what will happen to the posts I have already scheduled.
I have created several Facebook Pages as part of my strategy to build online income streams.
My intention has been to publish original content regularly, grow audiences and eventually qualify for Facebook’s monetisation opportunities.
Rather than manually posting everything each day, I have been scheduling content in advance.
This is particularly important because I work long hours as a Security Guard.
Scheduling allows me to maintain a more consistent publishing routine while balancing employment, family responsibilities and personal development.
Now I am wondering what will happen to those posts.
Will Facebook continue publishing them automatically?
Will they remain scheduled but fail to publish?
Could the Pages themselves be affected by whatever has happened to my profile?
Unfortunately, I do not yet know.
Meta Business Suite allows eligible Page administrators to schedule and manage content. However, I have not found a reliable guarantee that scheduled posts will continue publishing when the account responsible for managing the Pages becomes inaccessible.
The outcome could depend on whether the Pages remain active, whether the scheduled content is still valid and whether account or Page restrictions have been applied.
Once I regain access, I will need to check the publishing history and scheduled content carefully.
If someone else already has authorised access to a Page, they may be able to check its publishing status in Meta Business Suite.
For now, I will have to accept the uncertainty.
The Risk Of Depending On One Facebook Account
This experience has revealed a weakness in my online business strategy.
I have been concentrating on creating content, developing Facebook Pages and finding ways to monetise them.
However, I had not fully appreciated what could happen if I suddenly lost access to the account used to manage those Pages.
Building a business around social media can be attractive because the initial financial investment is relatively small.
You can create content, reach audiences and potentially generate revenue without renting physical premises or buying expensive equipment.
But there is another side to the opportunity.
When a business depends heavily on a platform you do not control, your access to that business can become a significant risk.
Meta’s documentation explains that Facebook Pages can have different management permissions, including full control and task access.
For appropriate business arrangements, trusted people can be granted access to help manage a Page.
However, full control also carries significant risks because someone with that permission may be able to remove other administrators or delete the Page.
I need to consider these security arrangements carefully when I recover my account.
How I Intend To Strengthen My Account Security
If I regain access to Facebook, protecting my account will become one of my immediate priorities.
I intend to review my security settings, confirm that my contact information is correct and check which devices have permission to access the account.
I also want to make sure I have reliable backup methods for two-factor authentication.
This could include securely storing recovery codes, reviewing authenticator app synchronisation and investigating security keys or passkeys where supported.
The most important lesson is that account security should never be treated as an afterthought.
When a social media account becomes part of an income-generating business, protecting it becomes part of protecting that business.
What Losing Facebook Access Has Taught Me About Building Financial Freedom

Building An Online Business Comes With Risks
When I started my financial freedom journey, I understood that building online income streams would require effort, patience and experimentation.
I expected challenges involving website traffic, audience growth, monetisation and competition.
What I did not fully anticipate was the possibility of losing access to an important social media account overnight.
This is a different type of business risk.
It has nothing to do with the quality of my content or how consistently I publish.
Instead, it concerns my dependence on systems controlled by another organisation.
Facebook provides an enormous opportunity to reach people and build communities.
However, having thousands of followers would not necessarily protect someone from account access problems.
Even a successful creator can encounter security issues, technical problems, changes to monetisation eligibility or restrictions affecting their ability to operate.
This is why I believe it is important to build a more resilient online business rather than relying exclusively on one platform.
Why My Blog Is An Important Long-Term Asset
One thing this experience has reinforced is the importance of continuing to develop my own website.
My blog, mujiburrahman.com, is where I document my journey from Security Guard to Financial Freedom.
Unlike my Facebook presence, it is built around a domain that I control, subject to maintaining its registration, hosting and security.
That does not make a website completely risk-free.
Websites can experience technical failures, hacking attempts, hosting problems and changes in search engine traffic.
Nevertheless, maintaining an independent website gives me greater control over my content, backups, publishing systems and long-term business development.
I can write detailed articles, organise information into categories and create resources that remain available beyond the lifespan of an individual social media post.
Over time, I hope to monetise my blogging activities through suitable advertising, affiliate partnerships and other legitimate opportunities.
Of course, none of these income streams is guaranteed.
They require genuine audience interest, consistent effort and adherence to the relevant platform and advertising policies.
Creating Multiple Sources Of Online Income
My long-term ambition is to build multiple income streams that can eventually provide enough financial security for me to leave traditional employment.
I am interested in blogging, social media monetisation, affiliate marketing, investing and digital products.
However, today’s experience has made me think more carefully about diversification.
It is not enough to have several Facebook Pages if all of them depend on one inaccessible account.
Although those Pages may represent different audiences or content strategies, they can still share the same platform risk.
A more diversified online business might combine:
- An independently hosted blog with original articles.
- Social media Pages that attract and engage audiences.
- Affiliate income from relevant products and services.
- Digital products that provide genuine value.
- Long-term investments consistent with my financial circumstances.
- An email newsletter for readers who voluntarily subscribe.
An email newsletter could be particularly useful because it would offer another way of communicating with my audience.
However, I would need to follow UK data protection and electronic marketing requirements.
The Information Commissioner’s Office explains that marketing emails to individuals generally require valid consent unless an applicable exemption exists.
The objective would be to develop genuine relationships with readers rather than simply collecting email addresses.
Why I Must Keep Working Towards My Goals
I recently gave myself a 90-day target to get at least one of my Facebook Pages monetised.
I knew that achieving this would be challenging.
Facebook monetisation depends on eligibility, platform policies, content performance and other factors outside my complete control.
Nevertheless, I wanted to establish a measurable goal that would encourage me to take action.
My current account problem may interfere with that target.
I might lose valuable publishing time, experience slower audience growth or have to reconsider my strategy.
However, I do not believe this means I should abandon the objective of creating online income.
It means I need to adapt.
I can still research opportunities, write articles, prepare content and develop skills while waiting for my Facebook account recovery request to be reviewed.
The platform may be temporarily unavailable to me, but my ability to learn and create has not disappeared.
That is something worth remembering.
Managing My Lower Back Pain While Continuing The Master Key System

My Lower Back Pain Has Not Completely Disappeared
Unfortunately, the Facebook problem is not the only challenge I am dealing with.
My lower back pain has improved considerably compared with the severe pain I experienced earlier this month, but it has not completely disappeared.
I returned to work on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, after my condition improved enough for me to resume my duties.
I had hoped that the remaining discomfort would gradually disappear.
However, I am still experiencing pain, and the colder weather seems to make it feel more severe.
I live in Essex, and as we move further into autumn, the temperatures are dropping.
I have noticed that my back feels more uncomfortable when I become cold.
That is my personal observation rather than proof that colder temperatures are responsible for the pain.
It is frustrating because I want to concentrate on my goals without constantly thinking about physical discomfort.
Working as a Security Guard can already be demanding, particularly when balancing long shifts, travelling and family responsibilities.
Adding persistent back pain makes everything more difficult.
Nevertheless, I realise that looking after my health must remain a priority.
Why Gentle Movement And Stretching Matter
According to the NHS guidance on back pain, lower back pain is common and often improves within a few weeks, although it can sometimes last longer or return.
The NHS generally recommends remaining active and continuing normal daily activities as much as comfortably possible.
It also suggests that appropriate exercises, stretches, walking and other gentle activities may help with recovery.
Long periods of bed rest are generally discouraged.
I intend to incorporate gentle movement and suitable stretching into my daily routine.
I will need to approach this carefully rather than forcing myself through painful exercises.
The NHS advises stopping exercises if they make back pain worse and seeking professional advice when necessary.
I also intend to use appropriate warmth and take regular breaks from remaining in one position for too long.
Because my pain has already interfered significantly with my daily activities, I recognise the importance of seeking medical or physiotherapy advice if it continues or worsens.
Symptoms such as new bladder or bowel problems, loss of sensation around the groin or significant weakness in both legs require emergency medical attention.
Financial freedom is important to me, but I cannot ignore my physical wellbeing while trying to achieve it.
Continuing My Study Of The Master Key System
Alongside looking after my back, I intend to continue studying The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel.
This personal development book has become an important part of my journey.
Originally developed as a series of lessons, The Master Key System focuses on ideas such as concentration, disciplined thinking, mental imagery and the relationship between thoughts and actions.
The original text contains 24 parts, each encouraging readers to develop greater awareness and control over their mental habits.
For anyone interested in the historical material, an early edition can be explored through the Internet Sacred Text Archive.
I am particularly interested in the practical discipline involved in studying these lessons.
Although the book makes philosophical claims about the creative power of thought, I do not regard those claims as scientific proof that thoughts alone can produce wealth or cure illness.
For me, its value lies in encouraging concentration, self-reflection and more deliberate action.
My current circumstances give me an opportunity to apply those principles in everyday life.
It is relatively easy to feel motivated when everything is going well.
It is much harder to maintain a positive attitude when you are experiencing pain, dealing with uncertainty and worrying about losing access to something you have worked to build.
That is when mental discipline becomes especially valuable.
Using Meditation To Manage Stress And Stay Focused
I also intend to continue meditation as part of my daily routine.
Meditation gives me an opportunity to spend time away from distractions and reflect on what I am trying to achieve.
I cannot control how quickly Facebook responds to my recovery request.
I also cannot guarantee that my back pain will disappear immediately.
However, I can make an effort to manage how I respond to these situations.
Simple breathing exercises may help reduce stress.
The NHS recommends gentle breathing techniques as a practical way to manage stress and anxiety.
I want to spend a few minutes each day sitting comfortably, breathing slowly and allowing my mind to become calmer.
I can then return to my tasks with a clearer sense of direction.
Meditation is not a replacement for medical treatment, and positive thinking does not guarantee physical recovery.
Nevertheless, developing a calmer response to stressful circumstances may help me avoid allowing temporary difficulties to dominate my entire day.
Why I Refuse To Give Up On My Journey From Security Guard To Financial Freedom

Every Time I Make Progress, Life Seems To Test Me
There is something I have noticed since beginning my personal development journey.
Whenever I start making progress, another challenge seems to appear.
Sometimes it involves finding enough time to work towards my goals.
Sometimes it involves money, health or unexpected responsibilities.
This month, it has been lower back pain followed by the sudden disappearance of my Facebook account.
I am not suggesting that life deliberately creates obstacles whenever someone tries to improve their circumstances.
However, setbacks can feel particularly discouraging when you are already making a considerable effort to change your future.
I work long hours because I need to support myself and my family.
At the same time, I want to develop the skills and income streams that may eventually allow me to become financially independent.
Progress can be slow.
There are days when I feel enthusiastic about the opportunities available through the internet.
There are also days when I wonder how long it will take before I begin seeing meaningful financial results.
Today is one of those difficult days.
However, I refuse to allow a temporary setback to become a permanent defeat.
My Plan For The Coming Days
Rather than spending every available hour worrying about Facebook, I want to concentrate on activities that remain within my control.
My immediate plan is to:
- Continue the official Facebook recovery process. I will monitor legitimate recovery notifications and follow the instructions provided by Facebook.
- Protect my other online accounts. I will review important passwords, authentication methods and recovery options.
- Monitor my Facebook Pages where possible. I will try to establish whether scheduled content is still publishing and whether the Pages remain accessible to their audiences.
- Continue writing for mujiburrahman.com. I can still research, write and improve my website without Facebook.
- Prepare future content. I will continue developing original material so that I can resume publishing when access becomes available.
- Continue studying The Master Key System. I intend to maintain the concentration and personal development practices I have been working on.
- Look after my lower back. I will incorporate suitable movement, stretching, rest and relaxation, while seeking professional advice if necessary.
I do not need to accomplish everything in a single day.
What matters is continuing to make progress.
The Importance Of Consistency Over Perfection
One of the biggest lessons I am learning is that achieving financial freedom requires consistency rather than occasional bursts of motivation.
It is tempting to create ambitious plans when things are going well.
However, the real challenge is maintaining those plans when circumstances become difficult.
I am beginning to understand that progress does not always mean achieving a major milestone.
Sometimes progress means writing an article despite feeling discouraged.
Sometimes it means learning a new skill.
Sometimes it means recognising that your health needs attention.
And sometimes it means accepting that something is temporarily outside your control while continuing to work on other productive activities.
If I cannot access Facebook today, I can still write this blog post.
If I cannot spend several hours working comfortably because of my back pain, I can try to complete a smaller task.
If my original timetable becomes unrealistic, I can reassess it without abandoning my long-term objectives.
Small actions may not produce immediate financial rewards, but they can help create the foundations for future opportunities.
I Cannot Return To Square One
On Tuesday, 21 April 2026, I made a conscious decision to begin changing my life.
I committed myself to personal development, financial education and building multiple sources of income.
That decision was not dependent on everything going smoothly.
I knew the journey would involve challenges.
What I am experiencing now is part of the reality of trying to create something while continuing to work and fulfil my responsibilities.
I do not want to return to the point where I was simply thinking about financial freedom without taking meaningful action.
Even if I lose access to my Facebook account permanently, I will still have the knowledge and experience I have gained.
I will still have my website.
I will still have my goals.
And I will still have the opportunity to learn from what has happened and build something better.
The last six months have taught me that I cannot control every external event, but I can make decisions about my next steps.
My objective is not simply to become wealthy.
I want greater freedom over my time, better financial security and the ability to build a future based on choice rather than necessity.
I also want to share what I learn with people who may be facing similar challenges.
Final Thoughts: My Account May Be Gone, But My Dreams Are Still Alive
As I finish writing this article on Monday, 26 October 2026, I still do not know what has happened to my Facebook account.
I am waiting for Facebook to respond to my recovery request.
I do not know whether my scheduled posts will continue publishing.
And I am still dealing with some lower back pain.
These are not the circumstances I would have chosen.
However, this is the reality of my journey, and I want to document it honestly.
There will be successful days and difficult days.
There will be progress, disappointments and unexpected problems.
I cannot expect every week to bring good news.
But I can continue moving forward.
My aim is to build a better future for myself and my family through consistent learning, disciplined action and a willingness to adapt.
Perhaps one day, when I have achieved greater financial freedom, I will look back at this experience and recognise it as another lesson that helped shape my approach to life and business.
For now, I will concentrate on recovering my account, protecting my health and continuing to work towards my goals.
I may have to slow down, but I do not intend to stop.
I may experience setbacks, but I refuse to return to square one.
I may lose access to a platform, but I will not abandon my ambition to achieve financial freedom.
Tomorrow is another opportunity to move forward.
And that is exactly what I intend to do.
