I will outline how I will build online passive income streams in 2025. You can follow my journey and also get started on your own online passive income building journey.

The Day After Boxing Day 2024

I have been working through the Christmas period as a security officer in Canary Wharf. It’s been really quiet at work, as I work nigh-shifts and most people are on their festive break.

This quiet period has enabled me to do some thinking whilst working the 12 hour graveyard shift. I wonder why they call it the graveyard shift? Is it cause it’s late hours and lonely or is it cause these shifts send you to the grave early!

I know I have to do something to enable me to quit this type of employment. I started writing this blog post in the early hours of the 27th of November 2024, the day after boxing day. I will publish it on new year’s day (1^st January 2025).

Another year is coming to an end, and I still have not managed to find a way out of this rut. I know the path to freedom is to be found in the pursuit and creation of passive income streams.

I don’t have the time freedom or the financial abundance to help me create these passive income streams. If had a lot of free time, I would build and monetize a YouTube channel to bring in passive income.

If I had the financial capital, I would invest a large amount to acquire rental properties to build a passive income stream. I could also invest a large amount of money into quality dividend paying stocks to build a passive income stream.

As I am working 12 hour-shifts on average 60 hours weekly, my free time is extremely limited. I will have to look for ways to build passive income streams that require the least amount of time to establish. I am looking at online passive income streams as I will be able to work on them whilst still working at my current job.

2025 A New Beginning

I have learnt a lot from the challenges that I have faced in 2024. I have been tested to breaking point, some how I have managed to survive. No one really know about all the challenges that I have gone through during the past 12 months, not even my immediate family!

I have some how managed to get my health and finances to a manageable level, it’s not perfect yet, but it’s on the right track. I will use the next 12 months to get fully back on track towards improving my health and creating financial independence.

12 months is a large enough time span to enable a person to transform their life. I will focus on changing my diet and following a good exercise program.

The biggest change I need to make is in my finances. I will focus on building a passive income stream using the internet that will enable me to fund other passive income streams.

I will be looking at online income opportunities that require little investment in capital and time, but have the potential to generate passive income.

Building My Initial Online Passive Income Stream

I will use the following steps to build my initial online passive income stream that will help me to fund more passive income streams:

Step 1: Brand Yourself

Create a blog to brand yourself. I have registered this domain name (mujiburrahman.com) via GoDaddy.

I have setup my blog using Wealthy Affiliate. They provide everything you need to create and maintain your blog. Extensive support and training is provided. You can also register your domain name through Wealthy Affiliate.

Step 2: Get Traffic

It will take some time for posts to get indexed on search engines to get organic traffic. You can start off by sending visitors to your blog using My Lead Gen Secret. You can email 100 to 200 people daily to get them to visit your blog.

Step 3: Capture Leads

Capturing leads is an essential part of building an online business. You can capture leads using an autoresponder, I use GetResponse to do this. Once you have captured leads, you can send them follow-up messages to get them to join opportunities or buy products/services you are promoting.

Step 4: The Online Business Opportunity

The online business opportunity that I will be promoting is The Home Business Academy. You can get started with the funnel builder for $25 monthly and earn up to 80% in residual income on your referrals.

I will be using The Home Business Academy to build up cash flow that will enable me to fund other online passive income streams.

I know some of you may not be able to afford paying for a blog, autoresponder and paid traffic sources. I will try and cut down the cost to the bear minimum.

This is what you need to build an online passive income stream:

1. A product or service that you can sell to others.
2. The ability to get paid commissions on your sales.
3. A way to get the product or service in front of people that are likely to buy it.
4. Regular commissions coming in from the sales that you have made.

You can start off by investing in dividend paying stocks and REITS, these will pay you a regular income based on the number of shares you hold in the stock.

Most dividend paying stocks pay a dividend twice or quarterly. Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) usually pay out a monthly dividend. REITS are required by law to payout 90% of their pre-tax profits to share holders.

I have started investing in dividend paying stocks, REITS and also ETFs. I am doing this via the Trading 212 online investing platform.

I am also taking advantage of tax-free investing by using a Stocks ISA on Trading 212. This allows me to invest up £20,000 yearly without paying any tax. The dividends that I receive are also tax-free. There is also no capital gains tax to pay on the increase in price of the stocks that I hold.

I am reinvesting the dividends to purchase more stocks to build up my portfolio. My goal is to build a tax-free online passive income stream that will benefit in retirement.

What’s Stopping You From Build Your Own Online Passive Income Stream?

Don’t make excuses that you cannot come up with $25 monthly to start your own online passive income building journey. If you are a shift worker like myself, you can easily make more than $25 by working just one extra shift in a month!

You can cut get back on your unnecessary expenses to save $25 monthly to fund your online business. If your excuse is that you don’t have much time… you will be pleased to know that you can get started on a part-time basis.

I am currently working on average 60 hours weekly, but I manage to find the time to build my online business. It all depends on how badly you want to escape the rat race.

If you are looking for excuses, you will find many. If you are looking for freedom, no excuse can hold you back.
