I have started reading and following the exercises on Change Your Life In 7 Days by Paul McKenna. I am also listening to the mind-programming hypnosis audio that comes with the book.
Is It Really Possible To Change Your Life In 7 Days?
After picking up the book “Change Your Life In 7 Days” by Paul McKenna, I started to wonder if this was really possible. I got started anyway, as I believe that it will get me into a better mindset than I am currently in.
Even if it does not transform my life completely in 7 days, it will get me on the path that will enable me to make the changes that I desire.
This book has 7 chapters, each dedicated to one of the 7 days. I will not be able to complete a chapter in a day as I work 12-hour long shifts at work. It might take me approximately 2 days to complete each chapter.
I should complete the 7 days in 14 days. I will have to work at the pace that is currently possible for me. I am dedicated to transforming my life and will complete this book in 14 days.
There is also a mind programming hypnosis audio that in approximately 30 minutes long. I will be listening to this twice a day, taking around 1 hour of my time. I will spend another hour reading the book. In total, I will spend 2 hours daily on this program.
If you are working the standard 8-hour day or night, it will be possible for you to complete “Change Your Life In 7 Days” in the 7 days as intended.
I have progressed just beyond chapter 3 (day 3), I want to complete this book by Friday 26th of July 2024. My free time is limited, so I need to make the most of it.
The Blogging Has To Continue
I need to carry on with the blogging along with the work on transforming my life. My current work environment is really negative, as most of the other security officers are busy talking loudly on their mobile phones on loudspeaker in a foreign language. Some of them are playing loud music in their native language. This used to distract me in the beginning, but I have managed to overcome it by getting on with what’s important to me.
I thought I was going to get some peace working night shifts, but it was not to be. I am now busy using my time at work efficiently by focusing on what I want in life. I have started to visualize my dream lifestyle whilst the distractions are still around me.
I also get a chance to blog when I am on the computer and also read other personal development blogs. YouTube is blocked at work, I can understand sites like Facebook and TikTok being blocked, but YouTube has a lot of educational material on it.
If YouTube was not blocked, most of the security guards would be playing music or watching news reports in their native language on full volume. Maybe it’s best to have YouTube blocked.
Luckily my blog is not blocked as the domain was registered a long time ago. This allows me to continue with my blogging whilst I’m on the computer at work.
I am trying to make the most of all the free time that is available to me. I have set a goal of cutting my working hours down and eventually leaving my job. I don’t know how I will achieve this, the answers will come as I continue my self-improvement journey.
Changes I Have Noticed So Far
Listening to the mind programming audio and working on the daily exercises outlined in the first 3 days of “Change Your Life In 7 Days” has made me more optimistic about the future. I have started to believe in myself more, my mindset has started to transform.
I have something to look forward to, instead of wasting my time thinking about the rut that I have got myself into. I know that I will be able to escape this trading time for money trap. I don’t know exactly how I am going to do it yet, but I have full faith that I will find a way to do it.
People have started to react to me differently. I have had a couple of people offer me things that I did not really expect. I accepted them with gratitude. The transformation in my mindset has started to attract things to me. I am grateful for everything positive that comes to me, be it in any form… physical, knowledge, or just kindness.
I have started to examine my most dominant thoughts and can see the reason negative things and situations are being attracted to me. I need to focus on getting the negativity out of my mind by replacing it with positive thoughts.
I know it is impossible to focus on all my thoughts, I will make a conscious effort to examine my thoughts throughout the day. In my case it’s more like throughout the night as I work night-shifts.
Time Will Continue To Tick On
If I don’t do anything to improve my current circumstance, life will still go on. I will continue to suffer and experience negative things in my life.
If I take the effort to transform my life, time will still move on. The difference will be in the quality of life that I experience. I should have started on this journey of transforming my life a long time ago, but I cannot focus on the opportunities that I have missed out on in the past.
I need to focus on the opportunity that is available to me now, at this present time. I need to take action now, so that I don’t regret missing the opportunity that is available now.
I believe that if I take positive action towards transforming my mindset, my lifestyle will also change. The actions that are required to transform my life will be revealed to me as my mindset start to shift towards the positive.
Starting on this self-improvement journey has enabled me to look forward to changes in my life every day. I know the changes will be little during the initial stage, as I have a lot of negativity to clear out.
I did not get myself into this rut in a day, it manifested as a result of constant daily negative thoughts and actions. It will take me some time to get out of it. The important thing is to stay focused on improving my thoughts and taking the necessary actions to develop positive habits.
These positive habits will allow me to move toward the lifestyle I desire. I don’t know how much time I have left to make a positive impact on my life and the world. I will focus on making every day and every minute count.
Doing The Best That I Can Do
I am working on transforming my lifestyle by utilizing the small amount of free time that is available to me. If I don’t take action immediately my life will get worse, I will face more difficulties.
My blogging will be kept to a minimum, as I need to focus on transforming my life. I will keep you updated as I make progress. I will also keep it real, I will tell it as it is.
I am not a self-help guru, I am trying to figure out my life. The material that I am using is not mine, I will be using many tools and techniques and revealing what’s working for me.
I am writing these blog posts on the fly, there will be grammatical and spelling mistakes. The important thing is to keep you informed.
I am happy, as long as I can get the information out. Maybe it will inspire others to take action toward transforming their lives.
I will keep the blog post to over 2,000 words in length to enable them to be picked up by Google and ranked for keywords and key phrases in the future.
Getting indexed on Google will happen organically, my goal is to continue my self-improvement journey and share it with visitors to my blog. I will be sharing the links to my blog posts on my social media channels, starting with FaceBook and TikTok.
Hopefully, these shares on social media will get some people to read my posts.
Overcoming Procrastination
You may have come across the phrases “Procrastination is the thief of time” and “Procrastination is the enemy of success”. There is a lot of truth in both of these phrases.
If you don’t use your time constructively it will go to waste, and time is a limited resource. You will only become successful by using your time constructively.
I found it had to start writing this blog post, but I knew I had to do it. I have started on this self-improvement journey and blogging is part of this journey. The blog post will help to keep me focused and share my journey with others.
Writing these blog posts also helps me to articulate and reinforce the ideas that I come across. This helps to program them into my subconscious mind.
I kept on putting off writing this blog post, I kept on saying to myself “I will do it later”… this later started to move toward never. I realized that the comfort zone was trying to pull me back to the lifestyle that I was used to.
I used to get from my 12-hour and laze around until it was time to set off for work again. I would watch TV for a couple of hours to escape from the nightmare lifestyle that I was living.
I knew that this routine could not continue, I had to use these couple of hours constructively. I had to use this time to work on my self-improvement goals.
I could let procrastination rob me of my dreams. I decided to start writing this blog post immediately. I started to feel more focused on my self-improvement goals as the blog post took shape.
I don’t know how to describe the feeling that stopped me from getting started on writing this blog post. It’s a mixture of fear and anxiety, these emotions are trying to resist the change that I am looking to create.
Once I got started these feeling started to disappear, but something was still trying to stop me from getting this blog post completed. I kept on thinking about other things that I wanted to do.
I had to force myself to continue writing and this secondary feeling also disappeared. The only way to destroy these feelings of fear and anxiety is by taking action.
Once your dream becomes more important than your current reality, you will find the motivation to take action. When I feel, I am overpowered by procrastination, I use the power of my imagination to get out of its grip.
I close my eyes and start focusing on my dream lifestyle and the motivation to take action starts to increase. It’s all in the mind, by using our imagination we can transform our mood.
