Around 60 days ago, I made a decision to take my personal development and financial freedom journey seriously. I decided that instead of worrying about the future, I would start building the best future possible, one small step at a time.
In these first 60 days, my mindset has already started to change. I worry less about money and focus more on creating passive income streams. I worry less about being stuck in the same routine forever and focus more on building online assets that can give me freedom in the future.
One of my biggest achievements so far is getting two of my blogs monetized with Google AdSense while still working full-time as a security guard doing 12-hour night shifts. The first blog was monetized around 30 days ago, and today, my second blog has also been accepted by AdSense.
At the moment, the income is still small. It is just about enough to cover my monthly blog hosting costs. But for me, this is still a huge milestone. It means my blogs are starting to pay for themselves, and with time, consistency, and more traffic, they can hopefully grow into real passive income streams.
I am writing this post on my day off, on the 1st of July 2026. The heatwave in England has cooled down, the weather feels pleasant, and I am sitting with a cup of coffee, looking out into my garden as birds gather around the bird feeder. It feels peaceful, and the words are flowing naturally.
This post is a simple update on my journey so far, my progress with AdSense, my goal to monetize five blogs within the next 12 months, and why I believe blogging can help me move from security guard to financial freedom.
60 Days Into A New Life Direction

It has now been around 60 days since I started my personal development and financial freedom journey.
When I look back, 60 days does not sound like a long time. It is only two months. It is only a small chapter in a much bigger story. But for me, these 60 days have already changed the way I think, the way I spend my time, and the way I look at my future.
Before I started this journey, I used to worry a lot more about the future. I worried about money. I worried about getting older. I worried about working long hours for many more years. I worried about whether I had left it too late to build something meaningful outside my job.
But something has started to change inside me.
I still think about the future, but I do not worry about it in the same way. Instead of sitting there feeling anxious, I now ask myself a better question.
What can I build today that will make my future better?
That one question has changed everything.
Instead of worrying about money, I am focusing more on building passive income streams. Instead of thinking only about my salary, I am thinking about online assets. Instead of feeling trapped by my current situation, I am starting to see that small daily actions can slowly create a different life.
This journey did not begin with everything being perfect. I did not have unlimited time. I did not have a huge budget. I did not quit my job and disappear into a peaceful office with perfect conditions.
I started while working full-time as a security guard, doing 12-hour night shifts.
That is the reality of my journey.
I am building this around long hours, tiredness, family responsibilities, night shifts, and the normal pressures of life. That is why every small achievement means a lot to me. I am not building this from comfort. I am building this from discipline.
There are days when I am tired. There are days when I come home after a long night shift and my body wants to rest. There are days when my mind is not fresh. But I have made a decision that I do not want to spend the rest of my life only exchanging time for money.
I want to build something that can grow over time.
I want to create income streams that can work for me even when I am sleeping, resting, or spending time with my family.
That is why these first 60 days matter so much to me. They have shown me that progress is possible. They have shown me that even with a demanding job, I can still create something online. They have shown me that if I stay consistent, I can slowly move closer to financial freedom.
I am still at the beginning, but I am no longer standing still.
Worrying Less About Money And Building More Assets

One of the biggest mindset shifts I have experienced during these 60 days is the way I think about money.
For many years, money was something I worried about. Like many working people, I knew that bills had to be paid, food had to be bought, family responsibilities had to be handled, and unexpected expenses could appear at any time.
When your income mainly comes from a job, it is easy to feel like your whole life depends on your next shift, your next payslip, and your ability to keep working.
That is a heavy feeling.
I am grateful for my job. It has helped me support myself and my family. It has given me stability. It has paid bills. But I also know that employment alone is not the same as financial freedom.
Employment gives income, but it often takes time.
Financial freedom is different.
Financial freedom means having more control over your time. It means having income that does not depend entirely on physically showing up for a shift. It means building assets that can continue working in the background.
That is why I have become more focused on passive income streams.
For me, blogging is not just writing. Blogging is asset building.
Every blog post I write is a small digital asset. It may not earn money immediately. It may not rank on Google straight away. It may not bring traffic on the first day. But once it is published, it has the potential to work for me for months or even years.
That is powerful.
A blog post can be written once but read many times. It can attract search traffic. It can help people. It can earn through adverts. It can lead readers to other useful content. It can become part of a larger online business.
This is the way I am starting to see blogging now.
I no longer see it as just typing words on a screen. I see it as building small pieces of online property. Some posts may perform well. Some may not. Some may take time. Some may surprise me. But the more quality content I create, the more chances I give myself to build real online income.
This mindset helps me worry less about money.
I am not saying the worries disappear completely. I still have responsibilities. I still have bills. I still have normal life pressures. But now, instead of only worrying, I am building.
That is the difference.
Worry drains energy.
Building gives direction.
When I sit down to write a post, I feel like I am doing something useful for my future. When I publish content, I feel like I have taken another step. When I see traffic coming in, even if it is small, I feel encouraged. When I see AdSense earnings appear, even if it is just enough to cover hosting costs for now, I feel grateful because it proves that the system can work.
At the moment, my AdSense revenue is not life-changing. It is not enough to replace my job yet. It is just about enough to cover my monthly blog hosting costs. But even that is a big milestone.
Why?
Because it means my blogs are no longer only expenses.
They are starting to pay for themselves.
That is the first step.
Once an online asset can cover its own costs, the next goal is profit. Then the next goal is growth. Then the next goal is scale. That is how I am looking at this journey now.
I am not expecting overnight success. I am not expecting one blog post to change my life. I am not expecting passive income to appear without effort.
But I do believe that consistent effort over time can create a powerful result.
Getting Two Blogs Monetized With AdSense

One of the biggest achievements of my first 60 days is getting two of my blogs monetized with Google AdSense.
For me, this is a major milestone.
The first blog was monetized around 30 days ago. That was a big moment because it showed me that I was moving in the right direction. Then today, my second blog was accepted by AdSense.
That feeling is difficult to explain.
When you are working long shifts and building something on the side, you sometimes wonder if your effort is actually going anywhere. You write posts. You edit pages. You check search rankings. You look at traffic. You keep improving the website. But at times, progress can feel slow.
Then one day, you receive that acceptance, and it feels like confirmation.
It feels like the work has been noticed.
Getting one blog accepted was encouraging. Getting two blogs monetized within around 60 days feels like a real achievement for me.
This did not happen by accident.
I have been busy writing blog posts, creating helpful content, improving the structure of my websites, and following Google’s AdSense monetization guidelines and best practices as closely as I can.
I have focused on creating original content. I have tried to make the posts useful for readers. I have made sure the websites have important pages such as About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Terms of Service. I have tried to build sites that look trustworthy and provide value.
I know that AdSense approval is not guaranteed. Many people apply and get rejected. Sometimes websites need more content. Sometimes they need better navigation. Sometimes they need stronger quality signals. Sometimes they need to look more complete.
That is why I am grateful that two of my blogs have already been accepted.
It tells me that I am learning.
It tells me that I am improving.
It tells me that the skills I am developing can become valuable.
This is one of the hidden benefits of blogging. You are not only creating content. You are learning many skills at the same time. You learn writing. You learn SEO. You learn keyword research. You learn website structure. You learn content planning. You learn image creation. You learn monetization. You learn consistency. You learn patience.
These are not small skills.
These are digital skills that can help create future opportunities.
At the moment, the income is still small. But the confidence I have gained is much bigger than the money.
The money will hopefully grow with time, traffic, and content.
But the confidence is already growing now.
I now know that I can take a blog from nothing, create content, build traffic, and get it monetized. That knowledge is very important because once you prove something once, you can repeat it. Once you prove it twice, you start to believe it even more.
That is why I am now working on my third blog.
The third blog is a travel guides blog. It is taking a little while to get ranked on Google, but I am posting relevant content daily and I believe it should get monetized soon.
Travel is a big niche. It can be competitive. Ranking on Google may take time. But I know that if I keep publishing useful guides, improve the content, and stay consistent, the site can start gaining momentum.
The first two blogs have shown me that the process works.
Now the challenge is to repeat the process again.
Building Online Income While Working 12-Hour Night Shifts

Getting two blogs monetized would already feel good under normal circumstances. But for me, it feels even more meaningful because I have done it while working full-time as a security guard.
My job involves 12-hour night shifts.
That is not easy.
The work itself may not always be physically difficult, but the hours are long. Working through the night affects your energy, your sleep, your routine, and your exposure to normal daylight. It can be mentally draining. It can make it harder to stay motivated. It can make it harder to build something outside work.
When you work nights, your life can feel upside down.
Most people are sleeping while you are working. Most people are starting their day when you are finishing yours. Most people enjoy evenings with their family, while you are preparing to go to work.
During the summer, it is a little easier because there is more daylight. Even after a night shift, there is still some sun around. But in winter, it can be tough. In winter, I hardly get to see daylight properly. I go to work in darkness, work through the night, and come home when my body is tired.
That lack of sunlight can affect your mood and energy. I try to support myself by taking vitamin D supplements in the winter months, because I know I do not get enough natural sunlight.
But my real goal is bigger than managing night shifts.
My goal is to get out of night shifts completely.
My goal is to move away from security work in general and build a life where I have more control over my time.
That does not mean I am ungrateful. I am grateful for the work I have. But I also know that I want something different for my future.
Working 12-hour shifts for years can make you ask serious questions.
How long can I keep doing this?
What happens as I get older?
Is there another way?
Can I build something now that gives me options later?
These questions are part of the reason I started this journey.
I do not want to wait until I am completely exhausted before trying to change my life. I do not want to keep postponing my dreams. I do not want to look back years from now and regret that I never made a serious attempt to build something of my own.
That is why I write even when I am tired.
That is why I use my days off carefully.
That is why I keep publishing content.
That is why getting two blogs monetized means so much to me.
It is proof that I can still build something, even with a difficult routine.
Sometimes people think they need perfect conditions before they start. They think they need more time, more money, more energy, or more confidence. But waiting for perfect conditions can become another excuse.
I have learned that you can start from where you are.
You can start tired.
You can start unsure.
You can start with small steps.
You can start while working full-time.
You can start before everything is perfect.
That is what I am doing.
I am not moving fast compared to someone who has all day to work on their business. But I am moving. I am not building with unlimited resources. But I am building. I am not free from pressure. But I am creating something that may one day reduce that pressure.
That is what keeps me going.
My Plan To Build Five Monetized Blogs

Now that I have two blogs monetized with AdSense, my next goal is to build this into a stronger system.
My goal is to have five blogs monetized with AdSense within the next 12 months.
For me, this would mean creating five online passive income streams.
I know that five blogs will require planning, discipline, and consistency. It is not enough to just set them up and hope for the best. Each blog needs content. Each blog needs traffic. Each blog needs regular updates. Each blog needs to serve a real audience.
That is why I want to create a simple weekly writing routine.
My plan is to write one post for each blog every week.
That means I will write a blog post on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Each weekday will be dedicated to one blog. Then I will take the weekend off.
This plan feels realistic because it gives structure without burning me out.
I have learned that consistency matters more than motivation. Motivation comes and goes. Some days you feel inspired. Some days you feel tired. Some days the words flow easily. Some days you have to push through.
But if there is a routine, it becomes easier to keep going.
One post per week for each blog may not sound like a lot, but over time it adds up.
One post per week becomes 52 posts per year on one blog.
Across five blogs, that becomes 260 posts in a year.
That is a lot of content.
If the posts are helpful, targeted, and written with the reader in mind, they can slowly attract traffic. Some posts may rank on Google. Some may bring visitors from social media. Some may earn through AdSense. Some may become useful evergreen content.
This is the long game I want to play.
I do not want to build something that burns brightly for one month and then disappears. I want to build online assets that can grow slowly, steadily, and sustainably.
The goal is not just to create blogs.
The goal is to create income streams.
There is a difference.
A blog without traffic is not yet an income stream. A blog without useful content is not yet an asset. A blog without trust is not yet a business.
So my focus must be on quality, consistency, and patience.
I want each blog to have a clear purpose. I want each blog to help a specific type of reader. I want the content to be useful enough that people stay, read, and come back. I want the websites to look clean, trustworthy, and complete.
The third blog I am working on is a travel guides blog. This one is taking longer to rank on Google, but I understand that some websites need more time. Travel content can be competitive, and Google may take time to trust a newer website.
That does not mean I should stop.
It means I should keep improving.
Every post I publish gives the site another chance to be discovered. Every guide adds more value. Every internal link helps build structure. Every useful article makes the website stronger.
I am interested to see how long it will take to get this third blog monetized while still working on the first two that are already monetized.
This is now a challenge for me.
Can I keep building while working nights?
Can I manage multiple blogs without losing focus?
Can I turn small AdSense earnings into a serious income stream?
Can I reach the point where these websites generate real financial freedom?
I believe I can, if I stay consistent.
The Bigger Goal Of Replacing My Job Income

The bigger goal behind all of this is not just to get approved by AdSense.
AdSense approval is only the beginning.
The real goal is to build enough online income to eventually replace my employment income and create genuine financial freedom.
My target is clear.
Once my blogs are generating over £200 per day, which is around £6,000 per month, I will be in a position where I can seriously consider leaving my current employment and focusing on building more long-term passive income streams.
That number gives me something to aim for.
At the moment, I am far away from that target. I am not pretending otherwise. The current AdSense revenue is small. It is just about enough to cover my hosting costs. But every big result starts with a small beginning.
The first milestone is covering costs.
The next milestone is making a small profit.
Then £5 per day.
Then £10 per day.
Then £25 per day.
Then £50 per day.
Then £100 per day.
Then eventually £200 per day.
I like thinking about it this way because it makes the journey feel more manageable. Instead of only looking at the big number and feeling overwhelmed, I can focus on the next milestone.
The journey to £6,000 per month will not happen overnight. It will require more content, better rankings, more traffic, improved SEO, stronger websites, and time. It may also require other monetization methods in the future, such as affiliate marketing, digital products, email lists, or sponsored content.
But AdSense is a good starting point.
It is simple. It allows a website to earn from traffic. It proves that attention can become income. It gives me a foundation to build on.
For someone like me, who is building around a full-time job, AdSense makes sense because it does not require me to manually sell something every day. Once the content is published and traffic arrives, the website has the potential to generate income in the background.
That does not mean it is completely passive. Blogging still requires work. It requires writing, updating, improving, researching, and staying consistent. But compared to trading every hour for money, it has more leverage.
That is what I am looking for.
Leverage.
I want to create work that can keep producing value after the work is done. I want to build assets that can grow over time. I want to use my limited energy in a way that has long-term potential.
Security work pays me for the hours I am there.
A blog post can potentially pay me long after I have written it.
That is the difference.
This is why I am willing to sacrifice some comfort now. I know that if I keep using my spare time wisely, I may be able to create a future where I have more freedom.
Financial freedom is not just about money.
It is about choice.
The choice to decide how I spend my time.
The choice to work on projects I care about.
The choice to spend more time with family.
The choice to enjoy daylight.
The choice to rest properly.
The choice to live with less pressure.
That is what I am really working towards.
The money matters, but the freedom behind the money matters even more.
Writing From The Garden On A Peaceful Day Off

I am writing this blog post on my day off, on the 1st of July 2026.
The heatwave in England has cooled off, and the temperature has become pleasant. It feels really good to sit here writing while looking into my garden and appreciating a small piece of nature.
There are fruit trees, flowers, and birds flocking around the bird feeder.
It is a simple scene, but it feels peaceful.
Sometimes, when you are working long shifts and chasing goals, it is easy to forget the small blessings around you. But today, I feel grateful. I feel grateful for the garden. I feel grateful for the birds. I feel grateful for the cup of coffee my son made for me while he is working from home. I feel grateful that I have the time and space today to write without pressure.
There is no stress in writing this post.
The words are flowing nicely from my mind to my fingers. In fact, it feels hard to keep up with the typing on my laptop. That is a beautiful feeling because sometimes writing can feel difficult, but today it feels natural.
Maybe it is because I am writing from the heart.
Maybe it is because this post is not just another article.
It is an update on my journey.
It is a reminder to myself that progress is happening.
It is a message to anyone reading that small steps can create real change.
My coffee has slowly started to disappear as I write. Soon, I will finish this post, fill up the bird feeder, and relax in the garden. I will take in some sun, which I do not get enough of because of my night shifts.
These small moments matter.
A cup of coffee.
A quiet garden.
Birds feeding.
A laptop open.
A mind full of ideas.
A future being slowly built.
This is not the glamorous side of financial freedom that people often talk about online. There are no luxury cars here. No private jets. No dramatic overnight success. No fake lifestyle.
This is the real journey.
A security guard on his day off, writing blog posts, building websites, learning AdSense, watching traffic, and slowly trying to create a better future.
That is my story right now.
And I am proud of it.
I am proud because I have not given up. I am proud because I am taking action. I am proud because I am trying to change my life instead of only complaining about it.
I know the road ahead is still long. I know there will be challenges. Some posts may not rank. Some days I may feel tired. Some weeks may be slow. AdSense earnings may go up and down. Google traffic may take time. Building five monetized blogs will not be easy.
But I also know that I have already made progress.
Two blogs monetized in around 60 days is a great achievement for me.
It proves that I can do this.
It proves that the journey is real.
It proves that the dream of financial freedom is not just something I think about anymore. It is something I am actively building.
My next focus is to keep growing the first two blogs, get the third blog monetized, and continue building towards my bigger 12-month goal.
If I can get five blogs monetized, keep publishing consistently, and slowly increase the traffic and earnings, then the dream of earning £200 per day from online income becomes more realistic.
That would be life-changing.
That would give me options.
That would allow me to leave night shifts behind and focus on building more long-term passive income streams.
But for now, I am taking it one step at a time.
One post at a time.
One blog at a time.
One day at a time.
I want to thank everyone who reads my posts and supports me on this journey. Your support means a lot. Every visit, every read, and every bit of encouragement helps me keep going.
This was meant to be a quick update, but sometimes the heart has more to say than expected.
The coffee is almost finished now, and so is this post.
Soon I will close the laptop, fill up the bird feeder, step into the garden, and enjoy a little sunshine.
Then tomorrow, the journey continues.
From Security Guard To Financial Freedom.
