One of my TikTok videos has finally managed to rack up over 1,000 views. It’s a simple video of blossoms on trees in my locality, recorded using my phone.
A Random Video I Posted Had 1,414 Views
After getting accepted in the TikTok Creator Rewards Program, my video views started to decrease. Most of my videos struggled to get over 300 views, only a couple had managed to cross 400 views.
On my way to the shops, I videoed blossoms on trees in my locality. The blossoms were vibrant red on one tree and pearly white on another tree. This was a random video captured using my phone.
I uploaded this video to TiKTok and to my surprise, it racked up 1,414 views. I don’t know if it is going to generate any revenue from the TiKTok creator rewards program.
It may be a random video, but it is original content and has generated over 1,000 views. There are people out there who enjoy watching videos of blossom on trees. The video has had a number of likes to justify this point.

I will have to wait and see if it earns me any money. I don’t care even if it earns me £0.01p, as this will prove that videos actually generate revenue from the creator rewards program.
Seeing the revenue in the TiKTok back office will be a step closer to believing that I can earn money from uploading videos to TiKTok. The proof of the pudding will come, once I get the money deposited into my PayPal or Bank account.
There are also specifications placed on where your views can come from to be eligible for monetization. The views must come from TikTok for you feed. Even if you got 10,000 people to watch you videos by sending out emails and posts on your other social media platforms, these views will most likely not count.
The views will also have to last for a specific minimum amount of time. All these restrictions make it nearly impossible to earn much from the TikTok creator rewards program.
Having taken in account all the above restriction, there are still people earning over $50,000 USD (£37,588 GBP) monthly from the creator rewards program.
I’m Trying To Accomplish The Impossible
It feels as though I’m on an impossible mission. I would have more luck winning a 10 match accumulator on the English Football League Games or winning the Euromillions Lottery Jackpot.
As I’m not a gambling man, I will have to settle for trying to monetize my TikTok account. I could have taken the easier option of promoting products from the TikTok shop as an affiliate. I get many requests from TikTok shop owners to do this, with offers of free samples.
I manage to attract many of these affiliate requests, as I have a following of around 22,500 on TikTok. I have decided to go with the much harder option of actually getting my videos monetized via the creator rewards program.
I know this will not be an easy task, but I have accepted the challenge. Let’s see how long it takes for me to see some money in my TikTok back office, and how long it takes to get it transferred to by PayPal or Bank account.
I’m Looking To Earn Around $5,000 Monthly From TikTok
I know there are some content creators earning over $50,000 monthly from TikTok. These select number are putting in massive effort and have decided to work on their TikTok videos on a full-time basis.
Earning $5,000 USD (£3,770 GBP) monthly would enable me to cover my living cost. This would enable me to free up my time and work on my short stories and blogging on a full-time basis.
Working on writing short stories and blogging would not feel like work, as I am really passionate about it. I enjoy writing short stories and also blogging.
I will have to spend more time on planning my TikTok videos. Currently, I am creating my TiKTok videos on the fly. I picking up my phone and creating short videos of just over 1 minute in length.
The videos that I have created have not had much though put into them, they are raw and unedited. I have been speaking directly into the phone.
I will have to learn some video editing to improve the quality of my videos. I’m a little camera shy, and I also get my words and thoughts mixed up at times. I need to work on expressing myself more eloquently.
This shyness and ineloquence can be improved upon with consistent practice. Some people have the gift of the gab, other have to work towards acquiring this gift.
Am I Narrowing Down My Audience Too Much?
I am a British Bangladeshi, and my content on TikTok is slowly drifting towards this ethnicity. I believe that this group is too small to become my main audience. I want to address a larger target audience, as I have much more to offer.
I remember the British-Jamaican comedian, Lenny Henry from the 1980’s and 1990’s. I used to watch his show, even though I was of British-Bangladeshi ethnicity.
Almost everyone in my class at school used to watch his show, it was main stream. The shows theme was related to the ethnic minority, but it was watched by the majority.
I need to express my ethnicity, but create content that is targeted towards the main steam. I will be able to find a suitable balance that can work for me on TikTok.
I keeping the language to mainly English, as it is my main language. I am more fluent in English than I am in Bengali. I may use the Sylheti language in some of my videos. I may also use some Bangla, Hindi, Urdu songs drive in some views and followers.
The target audience will start to expand as the followers start to increase and the videos start to go viral.
I’m Really Burning The Midnight Oil
I started writing this blog post at around 10:00 pm, it’s currently 3:04 am in the UK. I am not writing it at one sitting, as I have to move around at work.
For those who don’t know what I do for work: I’m working night-shifts as a corporate security officer. The shift is 12 hours long and I have to rotate with other security officers manning specified posts throughout the office.
I get to work on my blog when I have a chance to sit in front of a computer. There is less distraction today, as it is Good Friday and not many people are in the building.
This relatively quiet shift at work has enabled me to work on writing this blog post. I have not been updating this blog as much as I had wished to, as I had a few personal issues to deal with.
As long as I am alive, I will have personal issues to deal with. I need to find the time to work on my blog, whilst dealing with these difficulties that life throws at me.
I had managed to get one of my blogs monetized a while back, but I had a few problems with the hosting account. The blog content started to become less relevant and the adsense earnings started to decrease.
Currently, I am working on getting this blog monetized via adsense, but I have not had much luck with this. I don’t know if there is a shadow ban on this blog.
I cannot figure out why my posts are not getting indexed by Google. The content is unique, and it is all my own work. It is not generated by AI. The only things generated by AI are the featured images on some of the blogs.
I know there are many grammatical mistakes in this blog post, but I will publish it. I write my blog posts on the fly and these mistakes will be there. I am happy to post it as long as it is sufficient to convey my thought to you, the reader of this post.
