The Tide Has Gradually Started To Turn In My Favor
The past couple of weeks have been really stressful after being affected by both Murphy’s Law and Sod’s Law, all at once. I can now feel the tide turning in my favor lately.
The Fridge Freezer Issue, Finally Resolved
I have managed to resolve the issue with the defective fridge freezer that was delivered to us. The support provided by Curry’s felt as if it was no-existent. Their call center was based in South Africa and the majority of the staff manning it need to be trained in customer service skills.
The first set of delivery men were really dreadful. They could see that there was a dent on the packaging and were not willing to take the fridge freezer out of the packaging. They would not even wait for me to do it myself as they knew it was damaged.
I was informed by Curry’s support that the delivery men were responsible for unpacking it and also removing the packaging material if required.
After many rounds of ping pong with Curry’s customer support, I was able to arrange an exchange of the damaged fridge freezer. The second lot of delivery men were really professional and unpacked the fridge freezer and let me inspect it. They also removed the packaging and apologized for the inconvenience caused by all of this nonsense.
Back In Control Of My Finances
I have managed to arrange my finances and have taken care of all the direct debits and invoices. All my finances are now in control and the stress has been reduced greatly.
I have also put in some contingency planning to deal with future financial issues that I may encounter. There are many problems that can be solved with an increase in the amount of money that we possess.
In reality the problems that money can solve are trivial compared to the problems that money cannot solve. We can always work towards increasing the amount of money that we have coming to us.
The proven route to financial freedom is by creating passive income streams. These are streams that pay you money on a regular basis without much work involved in maintaining them.
It takes a lot of hard work establishing a passive income stream. The initial hard work will pay off generously once the passive income stream has been established.
Passive income streams can be in the form of rental properties, advertising revenue from YouTube channels or blogs, eBooks, print on demand and businesses where you don’t have to be there to manage it on a regular basis.
I Have Started Blogging Again
After publishing over 100 posts, my blog has not been accepted by AdSense yet. Most of the posts have not been picked up by Google.
I was about to give up on my dream of getting this blog monetized, then I stumbled across a T-Shirt that I designed with the words “Never Give Up”. I started to wonder if I really believed in these words?
After taking some time to reflect on these words, I have decided to continue blogging. I have decided to carry on until I get this blog monetized via AdSense.
I will carry on blogging until I reach over 1,000 posts. I will not give up on my dream that easily. I need to free myself from the job that I am currently doing.
No One Is Going To Read Your Blog Posts!
I can still remember the words from a colleague at “no one is going to read your blog posts.” Initially I started to believe his point of view. Who the heck was going to read blog posts from a random security officer?
All my dreams seemed to be shattered by a few words. Where was my belief in myself?
If a few words were able to get me to question my belief in myself, I don’t think I was serious about getting my blog monetized.
I am now going to continue blogging and not concentrate on getting it monetized. My main priority is to build up a loyal visitor base that eventually leads to my posts getting picked up by Google.
I went through a lot of negative thoughts during the past few weeks. I have managed to clear them out of my mind and have started to focus on my dream again.
Nothing is going to stop me from reaching my goal of building up a passive income stream that will enable me to quit my current employment.
Using My Time Constructively
I am not going to listen to work colleagues who possess little ambition and are satisfied with their current circumstance. I do not want to continue working these long hours for just over minimum wage anymore. These 12 hours shifts leave you totally brain dead.
I am going to use my breaks at work to continue writing my blog posts. I don’t want to sleep like many others or babble useless rubbish on the phone or listen to ambition numbing music. I am going to use my time constructively and work towards my dream.
I need to focus on myself and my goals 100% and just let everything else blur away. It’s time to get serious with my goals and do what is important for me.
Be Led By Your Dreams
I came across this quote: “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.” – Roy T. Bennett.
It got me thinking deeply about my life and the rut that I have got myself into. It is all self inflicted, I gave into my fears and let them push me into my current circumstance. I will need to switch my attention to the dream in my heart.
I know that I can change things around, if I put all my heart and soul into it. I have been fooling myself by thinking that I have been doing enough to transform my life.
The sad reality is that I have not even scratched the surface of the iceberg. I know that I have not put my heat and soul into making this transformation.
I need to distance myself from petty negativity that is going around at work. Small minds will always entertain the emotions of greed, jealousy, anger and revenge.
I don’t have time to get tangled in this web of negativity. I have a dream that needs to be transformed into reality. I have stopped looking for pennies whilst the pounds are slipping out of my hands.
Inspired To Take Massive Action
I am inspired by the vision of my dream to take massive action daily. I find it hard to sleep as the vision of my future keeps me awake. I know that it is possible to build up a monthly passive income to enable me to quit my current employment within 12 months.
I had previously given myself 24 months to build up a monthly passive income of over $5,000 to enable me to quit my current job. I now believe that I will be able to do this in 12 months.
The 24 month time frame was stretched out by the comfort-zone. I know that I need to reduce it and take massive action to build the future that I desire.
I will continue publish a blog post daily to keep myself motivated towards transforming my dream into reality. I know there is no one coming to bail me out from my current circumstance, the only person that can help me is the one writing this blog post!
I don’t know who is reading my blog post now, but one day many people will read these posts to figure out the mindset that had enabled me to transform my dream into reality.
The tide is about to turn in my favor as I put in massive action. There is no stopping, it has been spoken and it is written… it is going to become my reality.
