How To Develop A Positive Mindset

I have been using the techniques outlined in this post to develop a positive mindset. It is difficult to see a way out of negativity, but there is always a way out.

Start A Gratitude Journal

One of the best ways to get out of a downward spiral of negativity is by starting a gratitude journal. Grab yourself a nice ruled journal and get going.

Just before you go to bed write about three things that you are grateful for in your life. In the beginning, you may not think that you have much to be grateful for in your life. Just start off with the small things like being grateful for having the journal to write in. Being grateful for having the pen to write with. Being grateful for possessing the ability to write.

In the morning write about another three things that you are grateful for. It may seem like a struggle to begin with, but the process will get easier as time goes by.

Just keep it simple and continue writing daily about the things that you are grateful for in your life. Write about three things you are grateful before you go to sleep and three things you are grateful for as soon as you wake up.

Everyday you will be writing about six things you are grateful for in your life. This daily gratitude journaling will gradually move you from a negative emotional state to one that is positive and uplifting. You will start to have a positive outlook on life and your expectation will start to rise.


There is so much to be grateful for, but most of us tend to focus on the small number of things that are not currently as they should be in our lives.

Perform this daily gratitude journaling, twice a day for 30 days and you will start to notice the positive changes in your life.

Visualize The Outcome You Desire

You need to know exactly what you want from life. The material possessions, the emotions you want to experience and the person you want to become.

Don’t try and change other people, start by changing yourself and the thoughts you occupy your mind with on a regular basis.

Visualization is another tool that you can use to transform your life. It is easy to do and does not require you to purchase anything.

The process of visualization is simple. Start by relaxing your body by taking in deep breaths and exhaling slowly. You can be in a seating position or lying down. Concentrate on your breathing until your body is relaxed. Once you are in a relaxed state, you can start to visualize what you truly desire.

Close your eyes and focus on the outcome you desire, the lifestyle you truly want to live. You should be playing a movie in your mind of what you desire. Make this move as realistic as possible by adding vivid colors and clear audio.

The secret to effective visualization is to emotionalize your mind movie. You will need to feel the feeling associated with the mind movie that you have constructed.

Carry out this visualization three times a day, once after waking up, once during the day and once just before you fall asleep. This visualization process is really powerful and will enable you to transform your mindset to a positive and optimistic one rapidly.

Visualization impacts your subconscious mind and programs your desired outcome into your subconscious. Your subconscious mind will continually work on ways to transform vision of the desired outcome into your reality. It will provide you with plans that you will need to act on to create the reality you desire.

I Like Myself

One of the best affirmations that I have come across is “I Like Myself“. I picked this up from Brian Tracy, the motivational speaker and personal development legend.

Positive affirmations are a really good way of transforming your mood and also impressing your subconscious mind.

Brian Tracy suggests that you repeat the affirmation “I Like Myself, I Like Myself, I Like Myself…..” over and over again, as many times as you can. You should do it throughout the day, especially after waking up and just before going to sleep.

When you are stuck in a spiral of negativity, you tend to not like who you are. This positive affirmation will enable you to start liking yourself. Once you start to like yourself, your self-belief and self-worth will start to increase.

Your subconscious mind will start to accept your high self-worth and boost your self-image. You can never become successful without seeing and believing yourself as successful, before you achieve your desire level of success.

All this may sound a little out of the ordinary, if you have not studied mind science and success programming.

I have been applying these techniques to my life, and the results that I am getting have been really exceptional. It has transformed my outlook of the future. I am optimistic of the future and my belief in myself has gone up exponentially.

This blog will become a blueprint that anyone can use to transform their financial future with only a small amount of start up capital.

The initial stage of building up a passive income stream takes a lot of effort. This is why most people continue to trade their time for money.
