I started this blog on the 25th of January 2022, yesterday was the first day my blog attracted over 100 visitors. Today is the 29th of January 2022, it’s been 4 days of hard work setting up the blog.
Currently I have 8 posts on the blog, including this post. I wish I had more time to devote to my blogging, but I need to head off to work. I need to pay for my monthly living expenses like everyone else. One day this blog will earn me enough money to enable me to quit my current employment.
My initial goal is to get the blog traffic to an average of 100 visitors daily. The next target will be 500 visitors daily, and then move onto an average of 10,000 visitors daily.
Once there are around 10,000 visitors daily to the blog, the income from it should be enough to enable me to quit my current employment. This could happen within 24 months, if some of the blog post start to go viral. Many people say that blogging is no longer a viable option to earn money online. I disagree with this, as there are many bloggers earning in excess of $5,000 monthly from a single blog.
A blog acts as a hub (home) for the internet marketer. The blog posts can send visitors to your YouTube channels and other social media accounts. You can also direct visitors to your blog via your YouTube channels and social media accounts.
Video is the current medium of choice, but there are a large number of people who like to read and digest the information at their own pace. Sometimes video and audio is not the chosen medium to convey the message.
Most of the traffic to my blog has come from my social media accounts, I’m not a social media influencer. I have an average following and connections on social media. I cannot rely on the traffic coming from these sources on a regular basis.
I will need to get my blog posts picked up by search engines by applying good SEO tactics. I would appreciate links from other bloggers to get my rankings moving in the right direction.
Blogging takes up a lot of time, which is a commodity that is in short supply due to my current work arrangements. I try and get my point across as efficiently as I am able to, sometimes the correct word usage is not possible as I don’t have much time for deep searching.
There may be some grammatical and spelling mistakes. I cannot avoid these due to the pace that I am writing these posts at. I am writing as the thoughts flow into my mind, I don’t really have the time to structure them thoroughly.
I don’t know if I can stick to the minimum of one blog post per day. It has been easy to write a few post recently as I have been off work. I don’t know how I am going to stick to my initial goal of a minimum of one post per day.
Most of my blog post are over 500 words to enable search engines to pick them up and also to make them meaningful. This is a blog and not Twitter, long blog posts have become the norm recently.
I don’t want to paste affiliate links throughout the blog posts like some bloggers. I want to keep the posts neat and easy to read with only a select number of links. There will be some adverts from AdSense once the blog get approved.
You can follow my progress by reading my blog posts. My goals is to make everything transparent, the traffic and the earnings from the blog. If I don’t earn anything in a month, I will post zero earnings from that month!
If you like what I am doing and would like to support me, please visit this blog on a regular basis and also spread the message to people you know.
A blog is nothing without visitors, it also needs to earn the blogger some money for it to stay active. There has got to be some incentive for the blogger to take the time and effort in writing new posts.
